Works at the Institute since 1970. After graduating from MEPhI and completing a thesis at the OIChP RAS named after Academician N.N. Semenov was recruited to work in the Department of Physical Gas Dynamics of IVTAN. In 1977 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Application of spectroscopic and electron-beam methods for the study of non-equilibrium shock-heated flows" (01-04-08). In 1993 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Non-equilibrium radiation of shock-heated gas jets". The results of the work have received wide international recognition and are used for a wide range of fundamental and applied problems in the field of energy, kinetics of high-temperature reactions, combustion and detonation. He was the head of 2 international INTAS projects, 4 bilateral Russian-German projects of RFBR-DFG, 4 RSF projects, as well as 7 RFBR projects and 2 projects of Min-Science. He has published more than 200 articles in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, presented papers at dozens of international conferences, and worked in the laboratories of the universities of Duisburg and Göttingen
Gurentsov Evgeny Valerievich
Graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1990, defended his thesis in thermal physics and molecular physics at JIHT in 1995. PhD work is related to the experimental study of heat transfer in a turbulent boundary layer at high temperatures. In 2003, he received the INTAS Fellowship for Young Scientists and worked at the Universities of Heidelberg and Duisburg-Essen, Germany. The main area of scientific interests is heat transfer processes in shock heated gases, gas-phase synthesis of metal and carbon nanoparticles, laser photodissociation of carbon and metal-containing molecules with subsequent formation of clusters and nanoparticles, diagnostics of nanoparticles. He was the first in Russia to apply the method of laser-induced incandescence to determine the size of nanoparticles, as well as to study their properties. It is a leader in the development of methods for the synthesis of nanoparticles by UV photodissociation of gaseous precursors
Since April 2009, she has been an employee of the Laboratory of Non-Equilibrium Processes of the JIHT RAS, starting from the position of a laboratory assistant, currently as a senior researcher. In 2010, she was awarded the qualification of an engineer in the specialty "Thermophysics" at the Moscow State Technical University N.E. Bauman. In the fall of 2010, she entered full-time postgraduate study at the JIHT RAS with a degree in Thermal Physics and Theoretical Thermal Engineering. In December 2013 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic: "Experimental studies of thermal effects and the formation of soot particles during shock-wave pyrolysis of hydrocarbons" in the Dissertation Council of the JIHT RAS.
She conducts active scientific activity, regularly takes part in Russian and international scientific conferences. In 2010, 2011 and 2015, she independently worked on experimental facilities at the University of Duisburg as part of a joint Russian-German project DFG-RFBR. In 2012-2013, the RFBR project for young scientists “My First Grant” was completed under her leadership, she was also the responsible executor of ten RFBR and RSF projects. Currently, under her leadership, the RFBR project is being implemented as part of the competition for scientific projects carried out by leading youth teams (“Stability”) and the RSF project as part of the competition for research by scientific groups led by young scientists. In 2012-2014 and 2016-2018 she was the recipient of a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation to support graduate students and young scientists. She is a co-author of 78 publications, including 24 articles in scientific journals, 19 of which are indexed in the international system Web of Science (WoS).
Since 2012, she has been combining work in the laboratory of "Nonequilibrium Processes" with teaching at the Department of Thermal Physics of the Moscow State Technical University Bauman in order to attract young personnel to the JIHT RAS. Provides guidance to students in the preparation of theses and graduate students in the preparation of dissertations
She came to the laboratory in 2017 with the assistance of Mikheyeva E.Yu. after defending her bachelor's degree at the Moscow State Technical University Bauman on the topic of numerical study of the kinetics of hydrogen combustion. In 2019, under her supervision, she defended her master's degree and in the same year entered the graduate school of the JIHT RAS with a dissertation on the topic "Study of the formation of PAHs during the pyrolysis and combustion of hydrocarbon fuels"
Kolotushkin Roman Nikolaevich
Came to the laboratory in 2017, with the assistance of Mikheyeva E. Yu. after the 3rd year of undergraduate studies at Moscow State Technical University Bauman. In 2018 and 2020, under the leadership of Gurentsov E.V. defended his bachelor's and master's degrees, respectively. Currently, he is a postgraduate student at the JIHT RAS with a dissertation on the topic "Experimental study of the optical properties of soot nanoparticles in the visible and near-IR spectral range"

Emelianov Alexander Valentinovich
In 1976 he graduated from high school and entered the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology at the Faculty of Aerophysics and Space Research, from which he successfully graduated in 1982 with a degree in gas dynamics and thermodynamics as an engineer-physicist-researcher. After graduating from the institute, he was assigned to the Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1982-1983 worked as an engineer, from 1983 to 1991 as a junior researcher, from 1991 to 1996 as a researcher at the Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, since 1996 he has been a senior researcher. In 1994 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Non-equilibrium radiation and recombination processes during the formation of an underexpanded jet" in the specialty of plasma physics and chemistry
Drakon Alexander Vseslavovich
He has been working in Laboratory № 19 of the JIHT RAS since 2003. Under the scientific guidance of Eremin A.V. successfully defended his bachelor's thesis on the topic "Investigation of the influence of non-equilibrium impulse actions on ignition processes behind shock waves" and his master thesis on the topic "Investigation of the growth and transformation of particles behind shock waves". Subsequently, he continued to work in the laboratory, being a graduate student at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and in 2009 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Non-equilibrium radiation and ionization in gas-cluster media behind shock waves". Since 2006, he actively participated in international cooperation with the Göttingen Academy of Sciences (Germany) and the Institute of Combustion and Gas Dynamics of the University of Duisburg (Germany)
He became interested in research work at the 3rd year of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman under the guidance of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Thermal Physics, Mikheyeva E.Yu. As a result, since July 2014, he combined his studies with the work of a trainee researcher in the Laboratory of Non-Equilibrium Processes of the JIHT RAS. In 2017, having defended an excellent master's thesis on the topic "Experimental study of the kinetics of the reaction of carbon monoxide with molecular oxygen by the ARAS method in a wide range of pressures and temperatures" he graduated with honors from the department of "Thermophysics" of the Faculty of Power Engineering of the Moscow State Technical University N.E. Bauman and entered graduate school. At the moment he is a post-graduate student of Moscow State Technical University N.E. Bauman and a full-time researcher at the JIHT RAS, where he is engaged in research in the field of chemical kinetics of high-temperature gaseous media. Among the scientific interests, the following areas can be distinguished: Non-equilibrium processes in the gas phase - ignition, combustion, detonation, explosion. Equilibrium and kinetics of processes in chemically reacting systems. Quantum-chemical calculations of thermodynamic and kinetic properties of elementary chemical reactions. He came to the laboratory in 2016 as a laboratory assistant, with the assistance of Mikheyeva E. Yu. In 2017 and 2019, under the leadership of Emelyanov A.V. and Mikheyeva E.Yu. defended bachelor's and master's degrees on the study of the kinetics of monomolecular decomposition of iodine inhibitors. Currently, he is a postgraduate student at the JIHT RAS with a dissertation on the topic “Features of the processes of soot formation during pyrolysis and combustion of promising biofuels”
He came to the laboratory in 2020 with the assistance of Mikheyeva E.Yu., is studying in the fourth year of MSTU N.E. Bauman with the preparation of a bachelor's thesis on the topic "Temperature measurements in a pre-mixed flat flame of fuel-air mixtures under conditions of soot deposition on the surface of a thermocouple" under the guidance of Gurentsov E.V.
