A high-vacuum kinetic shock tube equipped with a modern diagnostic complex for atomic resonance absorption spectroscopy (ARAS), which makes it possible to obtain quantitative data on the time profiles of atomic concentrations in high-temperature reactions behind shock waves with the highest sensitivity and accuracy. These data are used to directly determine the rate constants of chemical reactions, making it possible to capture the finest kinetics of elemental chemical reactions over a wide range of temperatures and pressures
